In order to provide our customers with a more complete service we have designed a Clean Room, that is an atmospheric pressure environment and controlled particle pollution within which we package the products which require special attention. Air circulation, ventilation, the materials we use and the operating procedures are regulated in order to control the concentration and quality of the particles present in the air. Our high-skilled factory workers wear disposable sterile shirts, face masks and caps, thus guaranteeing the handling of each product which requires specific cleanliness and hygiene conditions.

The (primary) compartmented area has been designed to provide the flow in one single direction and is equipped with a dedicated air-conditioning system which ensures suitable and controlled temperatures. The product (candies, biscuits, rusks, tarallucci and, in general, dry bakery products) is put into the bags through a conveyor. The single units are then carried on the conveyor belt towards the metal detector which eliminates the pieces within which metal has been detected. In the final stage the product is carried into the secondary production area to be packaged in cartons.

In order to face the Covid-19 emergency, we have made available a deactivation of bacterial charge and packaging service for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), face masks, shirts, clothes and work protective accessories. For this purpose, an ad hoc machine has been designed and developed and it has a tunnel structure containing a conveyor belt made of PTFE- coated fiberglass, equipped with 4 germicidal lamps. The ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is a deactivation of bacterial charge method which uses ultraviolet light (UV) with wavelengths in the UV-C range and which modifies the DNA or RNA of microorganisms, preventing them from reproducing or being damaging.

The packages are identified and classified according to their functions, aims and the role they play within the productive chain; they differ in material, shape, graphic design and so on.
This category comprises the packages used to bag and store single products, ready for consumption. It has to do with first-level packages which contain the items to be sold. Apart from their practical role in containing and protecting, the primary packages also play a second one, of commercial nature. That is why they are regarded as real sales units. In order to fulfil this purpose, the primary packages are accurately designed to inform the customers, persuade and prompt them to buy.
Sometimes, primary packaging is the same as immediate packaging since it is put into direct contact with the product itself. This happens with bottles of water, cans, tuna tins and jam jars which contain the product and often identify it.
Secondary packages are often referred to as multiple packaging since they group several sales units together. Although it is possible to buy one complete set of products thanks to the secondary packaging, this type of containers has a mainly logistic function aimed at making it easier to move the goods within the points of sale to restock the shelves.
Secondary packages never come into direct contact with the final product. There is always a primary packaging between the two items. This is precisely the reason why the removal of the first one does not affect the product’s features in any way.
Packs of bottles, boxes for drugs in blister, multiple packaging for cans or snacks: these are only some of the examples of secondary packaging.
Boxes aimed at a safe transport of goods which have been designed to protect and preserve the integrity of what is inside. Packages which make it easier to handle and ship multiple packages or single sales units. These are types of tertiary packaging, suitable to carry or transport the goods and to facilitate their handling preventing the damaging of what is inside during their transport. We know that packaging is an important marketing element of a brand because it connects the brand itself with the end consumer. Thus, an essential role is definitely played by the packaging within which the product is displayed, so that it becomes a key factor to let the consumer see what their eyes, on their own, cannot see. As for example in the offers “pay 2, take 3” which are useful to catch the attention, especially because of the cheap price.
